POWERful Coaching for Powerful Results is a fast-track professional coaching skills training program for school leaders who want to learn a coaching approach to achieving change and reaching extraordinary goals for individuals, schools and districts. Coaching is a highly effective strategy and compelling vehicle for creating lasting change. Based on International Coach Federation’s Professional Coaching Core Competencies, participants will learn and practice the essential skills, techniques and processes used by professional coaches. They will learn how to empower the people they lead, how to bring out the best in staff and students and how to establish successful coaching relationships and programs.
This program has two parts:
- Part 1—3 Full Days of onsite training
- Part 2—Optional, Recommended 3-month Coaching Practicum—for those who want to deepen their learning with practical experiences.

Part 2 - Optional, Recommended, 90-day coaching practicum
Coaching is best learned with real people experiencing real challenges. Part 1 participants have the option to extend their coach training, enhance their skills and receive feedback and ongoing support.
Participants will:
- Engage in weekly coaching practice with class peers and an external coachee of your choice, weekly for three months.
- Participate in group telephone sessions, twice a month for one hour with a professional coach, to continue learning and discuss your coaching challenges.
- Participate in an online coaching community.
- Receive feedback to improve coaching skills from a certified professional coach.
- Read pertinent coaching literature.
- Maintain a weekly log.
- Engage in a case-study.

POWERful Coaching for Powerful Results: Level 1 teleclass series
Classes are held via group telephone sessions, once a week, for 75 minutes, for 6 weeks. Classes are limited to 10 participants to enable lots of coaching practice. Register early!

Cost: $300 per person. (Note: Additional costs for long-distance group telephone sessions may apply. Selected books will be $25-50.) 2 college credits from available for an additional $120.
Note: This 24-hour course can be scheduled onsite in your district or organization.

You will learn the essential skills and techniques necessary for effective coaching. It includes 15 hours of supervised coaching practice, coaching tools and support.
